hi everyone. sorry if this is not the right thread for this question so feel free to move it and tried a search but came up with nothing. i just got my moment yesterday and i am trying to update my software to the cl14, followed the sprint guide on doing so and am all the way to the point where it says updating do not disconnect. its been sitting there for  about a half doing nothing, progress bar hasnt moved one bit, im assuming this is not normal and i need to do something different. i have done all kinds of os loads with my old bb tour but this is my first time with the moment sorry any input would be awesome!! thanks in advanced!

okay moved and still gotta merge this....but for now.....pull the battery and start over

also....explain your setup, is this being done a desktop or laptop? if its a laptop is it connected to power just on battery? this all matters only if the above suggestion of starting over doesnt work

your moment should already be updated all my moments already had this update. But anyway just. Keep unplugging. Ang plugging the usb cable to the laptop, after enough times vista will start the download.

Same issue for me.  I'm using the Sprint Utility to Flash 2.1 and as soon as click Start Software Download" it reads: "Ready..."  THe lower lefthand corner states that its in [DEBUG] SetupConnection.

I've read other suggestions on SDX to to burn through the Utility proceedures without unpluggin the USB multiple times, but that still did nothing...

I am on a laptop, plugged in... anny suggestions?

restart both your computer and pull the battery for at least 30 seconds and try the whole process over again. you may want to follow the Sprint instructions exactly the first time to make sure that all the drivers are properly installed. Good luck

Thanks, Dale.  I'd restarted both PC and Phone a few times to no luck.

Not sure how it could make a difference, but orignally I had extracted the file with winZIP rather than 7zip.  Once I extracted with 7zip and overwrote the .tar in the Binary it worked like a charm.

Your suggestion didn't fix, my issue, but thank you.  You and so many others do a hell of a lot on these forums and many of us just breeze along moochin' your knowledge for free.  Much Appreciated.
