Not sure how many of yall already know but I figure since it the "tricks" thread...

Get the Moment Flash app... then turn it on and it'll stay on during video recording...

Yep... that app was actually developed on another thread on our forum. Still, it's nice to know that it works with video.

Actually, the default camcorder application can already use the flash.  That's what I used before jvroberts came up with the flash app.

yea the OP method is redundant, the stock camcorder app has the ability to use the light....while in record mode just hit menu then check the flash box

Ok so new to the forum and the Moment.  But I read this and tried to figure out how you can use the stock video camera and keep the light on.  It wont work on mine.  When I hit menu while in the camcorder it does have a link for flash, but it says "camera" next to it.  and it will not stay on for the video.  Thanks.

While you're in the camcorder, hit menu.  It should have switch to camera, gallery, and settings.  Under settings, it has "select camera flash".  You need to turn this on.  When you start recording video, the flash will come on and stay on.

OK so I promise you I'm not a total idiot even though I'm a newbie on here.  But I swear I did that last night several times and it didn't work.  I did notice that I had to hit the on screen record button and not my center D-Pad button. I think that makes the difference.  Thanks bro!

works for me, just got the moment a few weeks ago, came with newest update installed. but yes, you do have to start recording before the flash turns on.
