Not sure if this is the right place, but I managed to make a pretty sweet little charger on the cheap.

I started with a blackjack 2 charger purchased from amazon for around 15 bucks

http://www.amazon.com/Charging-Battery-Blackjack-SGH-i617-Smartphone/dp/B001DL14FK/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1266103436&sr=8-4

upon recieving it, i made sure it actually charged the OEM moment battery, and it sure did. With the removal of a small bit of material, the moment was actually able to stand upright, not well though. Much to my dismay, the BJ2 does not use a micro USB connector for charging, so, I decided to replace the cable.

A small bit of soldering is required to do this, I found it easy, but others may not.

The original wiring, which happened to be incorrect. The shield on the cable was soldered to the +5V pin from the DC jack...the chinese kid that made it must have been tired that day.

My replacement wiring, shield removed

here it is charging

the 5V input is only for the battery, a USB charger must be connected to charge the phone

charging the spare battery(sorry for the crappy pic, the camera was dying and the flash was out to lunch)

the finished product

I still need to find a better way to make the phone stand up and stay that way.

Grin Excellent post, I used this one and another that has a video of the same procedure. Both are great.

Pay attention to not re-attaching the shield. Mine was the same as the OP original pic. Took a half hour to complete.

Anyone know about how long it takes to charge the battery only on this BJ II charger? I'm probably going to get one since I now have 3 Moment OEM batteries.

I would imagine you could even transfer files to/from your computer/phone if the USB cable from the dock is plugged into your computer.

I will definitely be making one for myself.
