Forgive me if someone has said this already but I hadn't seen anyone say this. If you are looking for actual songs as ringtones, I suggest using the app "Mabilo Ringtones". I use this app all the time to download ringtones and so far, they have always had what I wanted and the sound quality is always good and whatnot. Hope this helps in anyway.

Or if you have the mp3 of what the ringer you want, mount your phone via usb and put the mp3 on your sd card then  an app called 'ringdroid' allows you to chop the song to a ringtone length then use it...

Ringdroid is good for onthego usage, but I prefer to make them on my pc, the xfer the mp3 to my phone. I use a program called audacity. You'll find the interface between ringdroid and audicity is similiar. Audaicty is a true audio editor. All you do it select the portion you want as your ringtone, copy/cut, start new file, paste. Export it as mp3 and your good to go. You can also add sound effects, mix tracks, amplify(very useful for quiet songs!) And many other cool features.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll give Mabilo Ringtones a try.

Currently I use Zedge Ringtones & Wallpapers by Zedge.  They have tons of free ringtones and wallpapers.

I also use Ringdroid that was mentioned earlier to snip parts of a song.  The third app I use for ringtones is Music Search by mobileworld, which you can find complete songs that you can snip later.  It will find whatever song on many servers, and some servers download quicker than others (some songs can have up to 8 different downloads to choose from).
