Does anyone know how to enter test mode with this custom kernel loaded?  I try "call+center+end" and power on and I get to the recovery utility instead.

I was wanting to use ADB to remove some stock programs, but ADB is reporting "device not found" when I plug up via USB in recovery mode.

I'm just trying to verify that this is still the proper "place" to use ADB or is the procedure different with this kernel vs. the stock kernel?

Thanks for any confirmation on this.
i used the connectbot application from the market to get a terminal prompt and remove programs on mine. connectbot worked just fine and didnt need my usb cable or a computer.

Can you tell me how you would use ConnectBot to remove apps?  I see options to ssh, telnet, or local.

Thanks!

Ok.  I'm not sure what to do after that.  How do I access the directories and type in commands?

once you're connected follow the bottom section of this wiki: http://samsungmoment.wikia.com/wiki/How_to_remove_applications_once_you_gain_root_access

there is a list of applications which ppl have removed safely along with their notes on this wiki: http://samsungmoment.wikia.com/wiki/Safe_apps_to_remove_while_root

that should get you going, both of them worked fine for me Smiley

stay on topic, do NOT post in a thread off topic....especially when the subject of your post is one thread up
