I am seeing EV data almost immediately after boot up so I don't know if thats entirely true (for every instance). I tried launching google voice immediately after reboot and it launched successfully. However after going back to the home screen I *did* get the force close message (this was about 15 seconds after the application had loaded successfully). I relaunched google voice and it is working perfectly fine now.

Reading reviews on the Google Voice update show a large number of people on the Moment reporting that problem, so I'm unconvinced it has anything to do with Zefie's kernels.

download from the Market app, search for Google Voice. latest version is 0.3.0 released yesterday or day before...install should be pretty straight forward through the market.

although i never had an issue of google voice crashing on start with the stock kernel, its good to know other ppl are having that issue. do you have a link?

Hey all,

I've noticed an issue with Z08 ands was wondering if anyone else has.  The problem is that when the phone is taken off a full charge it drops down to 80% within roughly 15 to 20 minutes then stays ther for quite a long while, similar to the 15% with te stock kernel.  Also the random screen on\off issue is only when wifi seems to be active, noticed on both 07 and 08.

Thanks,
Derek

I would rather it be at the top end than the bottom end, because you run into the low battery lockup.

Has anyone noticed that the proximity sensor has stopped turning off the screen when on a phone call?  I just flashed last night and it was working fine beforehand, but today the screen stays on when I'm on a call.  Everything else seems to be working just fine for me....

That's been fine here, try a reflash?

I reflashed... seems to have done the trick.  Thanks for the suggestion!  Weird, I had thought the flash went just fine last night.

I currently have ZE08 installed.
If I want to flash to ZE08.2 do I need to do anything special?  Or just flash from ZE08 straight to ZE08.2?

Thanks!

You can just flash with the new Kernel, same way you flashed with ZE80

Does anyone know how to enter test mode with this custom kernel loaded?  I try "call+center+end" and power on and I get to the recovery utility instead.

I was wanting to use ADB to remove some stock programs, but ADB is reporting "device not found" when I plug up via USB in recovery mode.

I'm just trying to verify that this is still the proper "place" to use ADB or is the procedure different with this kernel vs. the stock kernel?

Thanks for any confirmation on this.

Answered my own question on this - http://samsungmoment.wikia.com/wiki/Recovery_mode

Looks like it's a USB issue on my machine then (Win7 x64) although flashing works fine via ODIN... not sure why this doesn't work.
