Samsung Moment - Should I Root My Moment?

So I was thinking about rooting my Samsung Moment using the guide here (http://midnightchannel.net/blog/255-how-to-root-the-samsung-moment.html)

Was wondering what are the advantages of rooting it and disadvantages...

It says "This new method retains root over reboot, but you will be disappointed to know that most apps will not work."

So most apps I download will not work correct? In the future will there be a better way to root it and have all the apps work?

After rooting the phone, would I be able to get Android 2.0 on my moment?

Sorry just a little confused...

As of right now it's not really worth it. There's still quite a bit of work to be done. I would just sit tight and keep following the threads in this forum and you'll see what progress has been made. Even if you do root it there is no way to upgrade it to 2.0 currently.

Zefie and I are working on it (so are some other people). When we get a better root, and a recovery image, then it will be worth it. For now, i wouldn't risk it.
