Hey guys!

So I think I am ready to try this root business on my Moment.
But I need some clarification...

I will be folowing the method posted here:

http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3234330 (glitch way)

Now this is all good and dandy... seems easy enough.  All I really want to do right now is remove some apps.

My question is in regards to a partitioned sd card:

http://randomtechinfo.com/blog/?p=109

Even that I understand (Ubuntu seems tight!).

Comparring zefie's way to glitch's way... only zefie's mentions needing a partitioned card.

If all I am doing is getting root to uninstall apps, do I need a partitioned card still?

Thanks for all y'alls work and info!

WEW~!

First of all... both methods are zefie's (that is even mentioned at the top of glitch's post). The new version with the partitioned sd card will hold root even in the normal boot method. The old version is only temporary and will only last until a reboot (which means it won't work in standard android, just in the hardware test mode).

Edit:  removed the insult that shouldn't have been there in the first place. sorry glitch
