Thanks - just tried the ASTRO file manager and don't see it.    What's the command while in the system/app directory to see the resident files?  I tried the old DOS 'dir', but that evidently isn't the right command.

If Bejeweled is somehow already gone, I'd still like to remove a couple more ...

Is it possible to update with sprints update from their site to cl14 if the phone currently has zefie's cj05 or do I have to flash back to stock first?

Alright I'm about to freak out.

I right now have cl14 and cl14 sbl running on my phone with joeys final 1.6. I was trying to remove the excess crud off the phone using this tutorial but when I try to use connectbot or the command prompt method, and I get to "remount rw" part, it does not work. It doesn't recognize the command.

Help?

as for using the adb method You have to be in recovery mode (vol down>call>end) I dont use connectbot so someone else will have to bring the enlightenment. Hope it works for you.

It displays # like it says in the tutorial. The command after it doesn't seem to recognize. I type remount rw and it says invalid command or something. I gave up, rerooted to cl14 fixed with cj05 and started over. Some of the programs are gone with that. I'm running that and joeys 1.6.
Still the same problem...

there is an updated guide here
http://wiki.sdx-developers.com/index.php?title=How_to_Remove_Applications

instead of using remount rw, use this command
mount -o remount,rw -t rfs /dev/stl5 /system

and instead of remount ro, use this command
mount -o remount,ro -t rfs /dev/stl5 /system

remount is a shortcut command, which links to the full command mount as posted above.

I ended up switching to ze14.1 and then the directions worked from the top of this thread.
I appreciate all the help. Thank you.

Hi,

I have been trying to flash my phone for a few hours now.

I get to the point to where Odin says checking download environment.  I have tried to reboot, firefox is not running, and I have tried all three versions of PC Studio, and verified that pc studio is not running in the background.  I have also rebooted a billion times and pulled the battery on the phone on every attempt.

I do have the stock cl14 rom that came from sprint.

In the directions it says the Joey rom will work with the CL14 update, but its not working for me, I also tried the ze12 patchoob rom and to no avail.  I tried to use odin and replacing the tar file in the sprint updater program.  Neither had any different results.

All I have seemed to accomplish is my phone showing a phone a yellow triangle and a pc on boot.

Any help or idea's would rock at this point.  Smiley

Thanks in advance

Ok, so miraculously I was finally able to load joey's rom through the sprint upgrade tool.  Now that I have done that, do I need to run the other modded cl14 items for the modem and such or is that included with joey's kernel?

Thanks
