I have been wanting to root my phone for quit some time now, But i have the same problem ever time i try. This even happened to me back when sprint first released the CL 14 update for 1.5. when i get to the CL 14 updater, I follow the instructions step by step, when i get the the part where you connect the usb cable to the computer, the message pops up that says "new hardware found" on the tool bar. Then it continues to says that, so then i wait and wait. This time i waited about 5 minutes. When i finally unplugged the cable, the message changes to "problem occured while installing new hardware...." I have uninstalled everything including the drivers several times and started from scratch over and over again and get the same results every time. Is there a step somewhere that i am missing or something? Any help would be great.. thanks

im sorry man. i've had the same issue on my high end PC, and have tried literally evry fix on the internet. no luck for me whatsoever, so i think i need to re-install my OS. but that's a last resort. In the meantime, i tried it on my friend's computer, and it will work as long as you have the Samsung USB drivers. would you like me to send you the links? once you install them, if that's the only issue (hopefully) your usb connection should work perfectly. I can also provide all the root files for the most high-end root, if u want. :-D
