Also... one z's rom is flashed, if we flash back to stock, do we still have root?

Thanks!

when you download the android sdk...  you put it somewhere... anyway the file path should be something like:

C:\blahblahblah\android-sdk-windows\tools\adb.exe

or you could use the search in windows....

Ok I found it and placed it in a folder.  When I go to use the cmd and nav to the folder I get this error.

The application has failed to start because adbwinapi.dll was not found.

Any ideas...My computer is also not able to detect the drivers.  Any one mind helping me with that to? Thank you guys.

start adb from the tools folder of the google sdk.

BTW, there is a post further down that explains clearly how to remove and what can be safely removed.  Please check there before you potentially screw your phone up.

If you add a path in windows then you can run adb from anywhere by just typing adb whateveryouneed

Right click 'My Computer' go to 'Advanced System Settings' click the 'Environment Variable' button.  Click on the 'path' variable, hit the 'edit' button.  Follow how it is written in there and add the complete path to your /tools folder.

As far as drivers, use PC Studio it will install the drivers, then just make sure it isn't running in the background when you try and use Odin.

I was attempting to go to recovery mode to remove some stock applications, but it seems it doesn't load up correctly, I get an error at the bottom of the screen:

recovery start...
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/command

At the top it gives me options to reboot system, apply sdcard:update.zip, and wide data/factory reset.

I tried running the sdk utility anyway: adb shell - but it says device not found.

I have the ZE08 kernel installed.  Haven't installed any other custom updates.  This is the first time I've tried going in to the recovery mode.

Any ideas?

Thanks.
