I've been reading a lot of forums specific to the moment and just realized I haven't seen anyone else complaining about the fact that google/sprint has loaded this phone with a bunch of spammy s*** apps that can't be removed.  Everyone bitches about Dell and the like doing this on PC's but not a single peep about Google doing it to our phones.  Amazon, Bejeweled, weather, youtube, nfl, nascar (wtf?), sprinttv etc...  I've seen posts asking if they can be removed but no one really complaining.

Well thats it.  At least the phone sounds like it's been rooted.

I am still trying to add decent apps to make the phone usable.....I have not yet searched to find out how to remove all the apps i do not want... I cannot wait to get a good PIM  like my palm treo had....I think Google did a very poor job with their apps.
they better open the market store better so i can go to my laptop and do some work
I want my phone on my desktop as well...just like palm desktop.  and let them both sync ....not just with google.
if you want PALM sync why did you buy a Samsung phone

And what apps do you want.....you can search androlib.com for the apps you want, scan a QR code, and it automatically downloads on your phone

let him have fun with the piece of s*** known as WebOS.  that whole system is terrible, the app store is still beta testing itself not to mention the fact that more than half of the apps are still pay apps...  No to mention the instability of the phone itself or the crazy amount of heat it generates...  Or the fact that it's touch screen is half of that of the Moment and the keyboard is a dwarf in comparison...

yeah, have fun with your Palm...  on the other hand, it does have extended batteries available that make it almost the size of a baseball...  hell, then the phone is useful...  you can play baseball with it while you're waiting for it's 20 minute boot up to finish...  YAY!!!!

i realize that was harsh, but as a 3rd-party sprint dealer, i get to play with darn near all the phones so i get quite a bit of experience with all of them...  our current demo is a Palm Pre and i want to send if back to Palm with a picture of a turd as the background...  that phone is the worst piece of technology i've ever touched...  i hope and pray that the Verizon one is better as my trainer (without asking) went and purchased one but i haven't had the heart to tell him he bought a high priced brick...

Thats a steep judgement on a phone....The Pre may get hot...I don't know...but one thing it DOES have over the moment is how quick you can cycle through LIVE running apps/multitasking....This may change with Android 2.1.... Who knows...but I do hate how the pre feels so cheap...I'll give you that!!

the short comings of Android's multi-tasking do not make up for all the f-ck ups that are involved in WebOS...
