OK, I am fed up with Android hype. The OS is a POC.
Issues with 2.1 and the auto update:
1. The lock/unlock feature on the screen sometimes doesn't display.
2. When it does display, can't unlock it!
3. The mic attached to the ear piece stopped working. It does work on other phones but not the one with 2.1 and Moment.
4. When I try to call a contact, phone shuts off automatically.
5. Battery life is worse with 2.1
6. The screen is sensitive that for some reason it deletes stuff from my page!
7. Sometimes calls the wrong contact ..I think it's because of google voice app on my phone.
8. Cannot swap calls sometimes.

Please add to this as you see. I am pretty much done with Android, I am coming Win mobile.

I agree... I think it's a sensitive subject. Is it Android that sucks, Samsung that sucks, or Sprint that sucks?

Recently I was on vacation and I COULD NOT EVEN DIAL A PHONE NUMBER. It was awful. I freaked. I went and deleted a couple 2MB+ apps and all of a sudden my phone worked again. it was so lame to think that a phone system DESIGNED FOR APPS couldn't even accommodate me.

I tried to root to 2.2.2, however my volume buttons and camera buttons no longer work, when i hit all three together the only button that works is the power off button and the power off screen comes up. Is there anything i can do to root or should i take to sprint store to have the buttons fixed first?

I, unfortunatly have to say, my Samsung Moment is a liability to me.  It frequently freezes, shuts off on its on, and have gone an hour or two without the capacity to dial....not good, not good.  I have had a "mobile" phone since 1981, so I think I am somewhat qualified to make the statement that this truly is the worst phone I have ever owned.
