OK, I've seen some of you "ops" here get mad at other threads for getting too off topic... I don't think anyone here can disagree that this conversation has gotten way off topic and isn't at all what the originator asked!!

Here are my success stories.

I was at a party and we were talking about football and there was this huge pro/con for/against Brett Farve conversation, and someone wondered if he was too old to be playing football and how old he was. I pulled out my phone and found out he was 40 in less than a minute. I felt pretty cool.

I'm currently visiting my folks and they picked me up from an airport nowhere near where they live (rural East coast) and we were driving through all these towns we weren't familiar with, and it was 1 am, and we were hungry, so I was able to google "Denny's Bowie MD" and find the nearest Denny's and GPS us there. It was awesome.

I haven't impressed anyone with the metal detector app but I guess that's next ;-)

love love love love love the smartphone.

hmm... my Moment has completely surpassed all my expectations of a smart/touch phone. With a few software tweaks here and there, I was able to make this phone everything I want in a phone. Service is great, signal is good, battery is good, it feels solid in my hand, glass screen, etc. This phone is literally the best phone available on the market right now. I would only give it up for the HTC Evo next month, because of the faster processor and 8mp HD camera.

So no complaints here.

And the coolest thing I did, kinda like Angelalois, a bunch of friends were talking about the pitcher for the Tampa Bay Rays, Jeff Neimann. They were trying to decide just how tall he is, so I looked it up real quick, and had the answer, 6'9!!

I was in class and got a call from people telling me that if i didn't sign up for the selective service i'd be in trouble, so between classes i used my phone to log on to their website and sign myself up. Cheesy

side note: my moment is amazing... i definitely got a good one.

My moment saves me everytime i work a over night shift. I read the news on buzzbox, search the web and etc. And with wireless tether and my laptop i watch movies online (i work at a group home and from 11p-7a its jus me up). It makes 8hrs alone fly by. And most of all it entertains my daughter while waiting at the dr's or anywhere she not supposed to run around!

My 2 yr old daughter has the flu and I had to take her to the doctor a couple of days ago. The doc took forever to see us, and she was getting very cranky and impatient. Watching Yo gabba gabba videos on the YouTube app kept her quiet and still for a good 15 mins.
