I'm looking to getting a great smartphone in April, when my contract from T-Mobile expires. Researching price per feature of the top 4 carriers, I found that Sprint offer the best bang for the buck. So my sights are fixed on going with Sprint, unless of course another carrier offers an even better deal.

Do you guys know of any new smart phones in Sprint's horizon, especially the ones that would come out by April?

From what I read here, I see 2 that would be worth waiting for:

1. Nexus One (for Sprint)
2. HTC Supersonic

Any other phones that you think is a promising smart-phone for Sprint?

obviously those of us here are a little biased towards the samsung moment Cheesy
However, the N1 and the supersonic are both good phones as well.

For me the Samsung Moment is still the best phone in Sprint's line-up. But if the N1 and the Supersonic will come out by then, I would be torn. Compared with the N1 and the Supersonic, the only plus the Moment would be the slide QWERTY keyboard and price.

I'm still maintaining an open mind, but if there won't be any new Android Smartphone with a slide out QWERTY keyboard, I'm sure the Moment would be the phone I will choose. Cheesy

What do you think the odds are of Sprint forcing me to choose another phone?  Wink

HTC Supersonic.....I would buy for a few reasons.

1. The Name....im a huge fan of the airforce...coolest name ever...especially if its fast!!
2. 4.3 Screen...Keyboard would be so huge I wouldn't make nearly as many mistakes!!!!
3. AMOLED!!!!!!!!!!

3. AMOLED!!!!!!!!!!

1) name... ok really? lame reason to buy a phone
2) screen... nice but also hurts battery life. And the moment's hardware keyboard is better than any on screen keyboard.
3) Amoled... so's the moment

The supersonic would be nice because:

More ram/rom.
Snapdragon.
Newer version of android.

Not sure if it's worth ditching the keyboard...

That would be the big question for me.  I never thought that I would like the physical keyboard, but now I don't know if i'd want to do without it.

Your right about the physical keyboard hok....but it would be easier to use an on-screen keyboard if the screen is 4.3..... Snapdragon....which one...the 1GHZ or the 1.5 GHZ? It doesn't matter...our 800 MHZ isn't bad....and I do like the size of our screen....3.2 is better then 3.1 not because of the .1 in particular but because when reading webpages...its easier in landscape!!

1ghz
and 4.3 isn't enough to make an onscreen keyboard worthwhile.. you still have to look at the phone to know where your fingers are. The whole point of a physical keyboard is you can tell where your fingers are and type without looking. speeds typing up tons

the moment will be just fine (probably better) than both of those.

they are gonna be first gen at that point and yes they are HTC so they won't be as locked down, but who knows what glitches they'll have to deal with...

also, don't use 4G as a reason to buy a phone within the next 3-4 years as there's only about 2-3 cities that truly have 4G and i don't expect my city, which is next, to get it any time soon, so unless your city already has it, it's not a viable reason to choose one over the other...

True, i would just have to see this supersonic to see if i wanted it, i mean if it's real thin, okay, but if it's huge, being it has the 4.3 screen i dunno, but that would be a nice screen, especially AMOLED!! the N1 i had it, and Sprint's Network blows T-Mobile away, so i won't make an accurate comment to that  Wink and i had the Hero so the on screen keyboard is not a big issue with me, but very nice to have both, on screen and physical keyboard.

Yeah... on the other hand, I'm based out of portland, so it'd be sweet to have 4g Cheesy

even though having a 4.3 inch screen would increase real estate and make the Virtual Keyboard BIGGER It WOULD cut back on typing errors...maybe not cut back on lag though. I understand this...but even since I downloaded the HTC Hero's keyboard....I haven't used my slide out keyboard that much. I have when typing a lot of things...but for most of what I do...it doesn't show much use. I ALSO like having the option though...so I'm not trashin the thickness of the phone or anything.
