How do I minimize the risk of pressing buttons, calling other people and moving widgets when I am on an actual call? My screen is/was black while I was on a 15 minute. In that time I moved stuff, placed a 3 way call and dialed a number. HELP! Cry

are you on 2.1?
the proximity sensor near the ear piece should shut the screen off so that you arent able to move stuff...etc...i know this function was wildly improved from 1.5 but the problem was usually turning back on the screen, not turning it off, i would verify your prox sensor is working by placing a call and covering the sensor and uncovering it a few times, if its not working take it to sprint and get a new phone

didnt someone say there is an app for prox sensor readings??

When you're in a call, you shouldn't be on a screen where you can move widgets, or dial a number. Plus, like m3ander3 said, your prox sensor should be shutting off the screen.
