The problem is that both the factory sms and Handcent send and receive my text messages. Making the need to go into 2 apps to delete redundant text. I was able to stop the notifications from the factory sms, but wasn't able to shut it down. Any advice?  Thx Logged viigox Newbie Cookies: 0 Posts: 2 Re: How to disable stock sms. « Reply #1 on: November 15, 2009, 06:04:07 PM » unless the app is removed completely through rooting or custom rom there is no way to stop the text from arriving at both locations. all you can do is turn off the duel notifications. and just ignore the fact that you have that app at all. till we get rooted any way.
