Decided to write a guidebook on how to use our awesome phones. Let me know what you think. It's not anywhere near finished, but it's making progress.

Hey Corey, nice work. I am still reading through it but I think there is a better fix for the Weather Channel app. Even after disabling GPS for some odd reason it can still run. So what I did was to 'uninstall' the Weather Channel using the 'Quick Uninstaller (Appmanager)'. (I know, it will tell you that it is a stock app and cannot uninstall it. Don't worry do it anyway. It works!). After doing this, I replaced with 'Weather Bug' (defaulted it to my location so it does not have to use GPS and I also have it checking weather every 2 hours). Now, even with Wifi 24/7, my battery lasts the whole day. Yes, 24-hours battery on Samsung Moment!!! Unbelievable!!! You can see I am ecstatic about this. Anyway, hope this helps someone else.

Sorry, I got the app name wrong, I have edited my post. It is 'Quick Uninstaller (AppManager)' developed by B&B (Bread and Butter).  Their updated app has an installer built in so you don't need a separate AppManager.
By the way, when you 'uninstall' 'Whether Channel' you will still see the icon on the list of installed apps, don't worry about that (it is not working anymore).

awesome guide hokansac, i thought that i had the moment the way i wanted it....

Any other app suggestions for commonly used programs?   I wasn't using panda or the messaging system.

is it worth it to use a different browser, alarm clock etc?

Not sure yet about alarm clocks, still doing research on that one. As for browsers, i'm a big fan of the Dolphin browser. It has a much cleaner way of organizing the tabs and the gesture commands are a neat trick.

Yes Hokansac's guide is great...and i look forward to his updates...
Hokansac is also a very helpful person....
You had asked for another app....I found one called Aurora.  It is a search function...something very very important and lacking on the stock Android. Type in a word and it will find it wherever it is...calendar, contacts, etc. It saved me from frustration and ready to return my moment...good luck

Thanks :-)  The update should be forthcoming after this week, as this week is finals week and i'm busy studying / taking stupid tests. Aurora was pointed out to me by another user, so I may be able to get it into the next update. We'll see... between finals and moving back to my beloved home state of oregon for winter break it may be a short update. However, I did post a list (excel format) of some of the apps / games I had on my first phone.

Very awesome guide! I downloaded it so I can refer to it when I get my Moment next month. Great job! I like that you had so many screen shots. Guides need more of that. I've a very visual person so now that I've actually seen the steps from screenshots in your guide I could actually go through most of the process by memory.
