Successfully tethered over pdanet. It's extremely easy, just download the app on both devices, plug it in and it basically takes care of itself.

There is a guide for doing it over bluetooth here: http://www.junefabrics.com/palmnet/bluetooth/bluetooth.html

However, when I go to the tray icon to hit 'settings', settings is just a menu with an arrow. It doesn't open up into a window, it just expands into a second menu with the options 'show network icon when connected' and 'auto connect when attached'. The guide I posted above says you need to click settings and that a window will open allowing you to edit bluetooth settings.

I paired my moment and my laptop without problems, though the moment says 'paired but not connected'.

I'm using windows 7 ultimate.

Anyone made progress with this?

not easy for me.

I do not know what is wrong...I have pdanet icon on my laptop.   I also have pdanet on my samsung moment.

when i click on the laptop icon sometimes i get android phone not detected error 104 and 103 wait for driver installation.   I have clicked here and there..followed the instructions about make sure phone is not connected and go through setting to  applications to enable usb debugging.   I am not getting any good luck...
Can anyone help....If possible...step by step....do not assume i know anything...Thank you very much.
