Hi Folks,

In a attempt to keep my moment running efficiently, I have been using Advanced Task Killer. I think it is a great program for helping keep pesky apps shut down that you are not needing to be open. My question or request is to understand how to keep apps from "Re-appearing" or opening after they have been closed....and even force closed. For example, I do not use Moxier Mail and it is checked as an application to shut down. Why does it keep opening on its own? I have attempted to go into the application to see if there is a way of disabling it but I havent seen anything to assist with this. Is this just something we have to live with.....or is the only way to correct this is to root the phone so you can fully uninstall what you don't need?

I have been a little worried about considering the rooting path since it is so new and I am paying for insurance on this phone. If it breaks as a result of the rooting, I am assuming that voids any and all insurance and warranty policies.

as far as i know, the only way to get rid of those applications from reappearing is by removing them through root...  which is scary, but not too bad.  or else you can just continually kill them through a task killer application everyone 10 minutes.  Smiley

rooting the phone now, by flashing ZE08.1 is probably your best bet. It'll let you just remove those pesky apps.

Semi-unrelated note: yes messing with the OS, including flashing it, will void your insurance and warranty.... technically. Realistically though it doesn't bc on the off chance that you totally kill it there is no way for them to tell that you did anything to it... lol.

Is there any easy step-by-step guide on rooting the phone? Something that will not involve writing codes. Just software based as you can do with windows phone. I have no experience with writing codes and too chickenhearted to give it a try.
