I use the jawbone and have no issue retrieving voicemail Hit on of bluetooth when  voice mail is in notification works. I cannot find a setting to do so either, I can use voice commands to make calls, to get to voicemail, etc - but when I click on the voicemail message it comes out through the phone only, not the headset.
