Cookies and Karma

Here is an explanation of how Cookies and Karma work on the forum.

COOKIES - Basically cookies are a reward/punishment system for the users of the forum.  If someone is a good contributor or helpful, you can give them a cookie.  If someone is overly negative or disruptive, you can take a cookie. You can do this by clicking on the "give a cookie" or "take a cookie" located underneath the user's name in a post.  Be sure and leave a description of why you are doing it.  There are very few rules when it comes to giving/taking cookies.  Please try to follow them.

1) You have to have at least 5 posts to give/take cookies.

2)  You can only give/take 1 cookie per hour.

3)  Do not give/take over 1 cookie for the same reason.

4)  Do not get into "cookie wars" (he took a cookie from me, so i'll take one from him)

5)  Anyone earning a -5 cookie count will earn a 7 day ban(upon review by mods and admins)

KARMA - Is just another name for cookies.  If you scroll to the bottom of the forum home page, you'll see the forum stats section.  In it, you will see the link to the karma stats.  This shows a running total of who received/lost cookies and the reason.
