Are you mounting your sd card?  When you plug into the computer, in the notification bar you should see a usb symbol.  Click on that, and it will give you the option to mount(connect).

Thank you very much for the help. I have been able to get my computer to recognize the sd card. However, It does not show my phone as a mobil device? My old phone showed up on the comp. as a mobile device and I was able to explor the phone and move information between files and programs. Is this phone able to do that, or am i missing something. Thanx in advance for any help.

yes it does you just have to use a program called ADB to get to the files (this is how you do it in linux) i would be very careful because if you have flashed one of the kernels it gives you root access. which could cause problems if you put in the wrong commands. If you are not confident i would recommend reading aboutADB in the wiki.
and if you dont understand anything i just said please slow down and read around this forum and also the sdx-dev forum before trying to do anything with the file system. thanks
