I found this elsewhere and it works fine. Props to whoever wrote it:

This is using the stock email widget on the home screen.

Enter your yahoo email: blahblahblah@yaho..com
Enter Password
Then press Manual setup
Next Select IMAP account
enter user name: blahblahblah
Password (it should be filled out already)

IMAP server should read
imap.mail.yahoo.com
port
143(this could be different on yours, so leave it)
Press Next.

For smtp server:
smtp.mail.yahoo.com
port:
25

This worked for me. Hopefully it helps you

If the above does not work then this method should, I have been using this method since launch of the phone.

Login to your yahoo account on yahoo.com, look at the below screenshot and click on your profile name. A drop down box will come up and then click on account info.

Scroll down the page to "set language, site, and time zone" and click that link

On the following screen click the "new setting" box and select Yahoo! Asia and make sure to click finished

on your phone you need to manually setup the yahoo account.....

pop address : pop.mail.yahoo.com (port 110)
outgoing server : smtp.mail.yahoo.com (port 25)

I am going to stickie this

Where exactly do you change your profile settings? Under "Account Info"? Or is it in Yahoo Mail?? Thanks!

Its in your main yahoo profile options (on yahoo.com)....click on your profile name while on yahoo and it should take you to a new login screen and then your profile options...there's an option mentioning time zones and location.

i have posted my method with screenshots see the second post of the thread

ok - here is what i am filling out.

After clicking manual > pop account

username: xxxx (no @yahoo.com)
password: already entered from previous screen
pop3 server: pop.mail.yahoo.com
port:110
security type: none
delete blah blah: never

I click "Next" and it says checking incoming server settings....

Then I get  this error message
"Setup could not finish - Username or password incorrect"

I am bound and determined to get this to work  Angry
