Still new to the Android experience. To date, I have only downloaded free apps. When using the Market, I noticed folks have stated, in their comments, that they have uninstalled an app they bought due to dissatisfaction. When you buy an app, is there a grace period where there is no charge if you uninstall? Or are these folks just eating the money they've spent? TIA.

Im wondering if there are any safeguards against people purchasing an app and then copying it to there sdcard, and then asking for a refund. Would there be any way for the developer to tell if there app had been backed up prior to uninstall.

This thought crossed my mind as well. Obviously, installing from the sdcard would preclude you from any application updates, but if the app does what you want, as is, then I could see this as a way around paying.

However, just because I had this thought, does not mean I am in any way condoning this activity. I have alot of respect for the work devs do, and if I like the app, I pay for it.  If I don't, I uninstall it and get my refund.

i also thought i had seen it said 24 hrs...

i got this info from the developer's terms of use at this address: http://www.android.com/us/developer-distribution-agreement.html

3.4 Special Refund Requirements. The Payment Processor’s standard terms and conditions regarding refunds will apply except the following terms apply to your distribution of Products on the Market.
Products that can be previewed by the buyer (such as ringtones and wallpapers): No refund is required or allowed.
Products that cannot be previewed by the buyer (such as applications): You authorize Google to give the buyer a full refund of the Product price if the buyer requests the refund within 48 hours after purchase.

Except in cases when multiple disputes are initiated by a user with abnormal dispute history, billing disputes received by Payment Processor for Products sold for less than $10 may be automatically charged back to the Developer, in addition to any handling fees charged by the Payment Processor.

so what i'm understanding on this is that they might be keeping track of people who do exactly what you said .....pay for apps, back them up, and then ask for a refund....

idk I might be wrong....
