Nope you do not need to be within range. In fact this is what I use to stream my music from my computer over 3g to my phone. Works really good and because of it, I feel no need to by a 32gb card for my moment right now. You can even stream movies you have on your computer
Its fairly easy to setup if you follow the instructions but if you run into bumps let me know
I think I must have misunderstood your response. I'm guessing you meant that you can control the videos on your computer to play
on your computer with your phone but can't play them on your phone. Because I tried this and couldn't get videos from my computer to play on my phone. I got a message saying video formats weren't supported. Most of my video files are .avi. So is this what you meant or are you actually getting videos from your computer to play on your phone? Thanks.
