Just an fyi...using the brighter flash for anymore than a few seconds will completely wig out your battery meter.  My meter stated 80% before...having it on for 20 seconds resulted in the red lined battery and low power warning to come on....

yeah, my battery has been going a little wacky as well.

Yeah, I'd be careful with the bright mode, I don't think the LED was designed to run in bright mode for more than a second or two at a time.

I'll probably put stronger wording in the "Help" section of the app warning about bright mode usage when I do the next update (looks like the Behold and Galaxy use a similar flash control mechanism, so was easy to add support for them, next release should work on those).

I've attached a new version I plan to post to the market soon (it will show up as an update) - version 1.01.

For moment users, it actually removes one feature (the timeout) and that's really the only change.  The reason for this is the timeout function seemed to cause all kinds of issues with camera apps.  I'm convinced this is a bug in their driver (the device is supposed to return "I'm busy" if there's contention for the device, which it does, but then it sends the camera into some wacky state) but who knows.

Anyway - if you have camera issues with the current MomentFlash and want to try this one go ahead (and if you do, please let me know how it works for you).  Otherwise, if you like timeout feature and it doesn't cause you issues you can keep current version (don't update).

This version also supports the Behold II and Galaxy phones.

I just flashed the leaked Android 2.1. tried running moment flash from the market. it's doesn't run.  error says "ERROR: system error enabling flash".

Is there another projected update, or is it just my unit possibly?

The app "Brightest Flashlight Free" fully supports the Samsung Moment's camera LED.  It's available on the Android Market.
