does anyone out there know the advantages of the 2.1 upgrade thats coming im hearing all this hype about the upgrade and dont really know what to expect but however i do hear that its confirmed that it will be released in early may

The may release date is just a rumor at this point, but its looking very probable. The 2.1 update is going to upgrade the kernel to 2.6.29. make you able to use the apps that were designed around 2.1 such as live wallpapers and others. If you would like to try out the leaked beta you can via these instructions. It is fully reversable, but it does erase all of your apps and data not on the sdcard. Good luck and enjoy if you do choose to.

Well the update is not so much a rumor than a ACTUAL month mentioned from sprint

check the link for the memo from sprint. Now the 2.1 will actually put the Moment back on the map, considering we have a advanced phone (hardware wise for the date released) we were put back WAY back on the chart because of the 1.5 OS on the phone. 2.1 will allow the phone to actually perform up to speed like it was manufactured to. 800Mhz with a separate 3d accelerated chip. (well we can only hope, but if sprint cant im sure SDX will)
