Time stamp lost

HI ALL!!
I was wondering if I just hadn't noticed it or if something is wrong here. I've noticed that texts I sent today ALL have the time stamp, however, yesterday and anything previous only contains the date. I know if you hold the message down you can get the info if needed, but I thought it was always displayed. Am I wrong? What does your texting history look like..does it have the time stamps? If so I am at a loss as to how to get them to display always..please advise!!! Thanks!!!

as far as i remember only the current day will have a timestamp the older will just have the date.
