i accidentally posted this in the swype topic

I know this has been discussed a million times, I have followed all the instructions, installed and reinstalled the drivers, checked, debuggin on and off, reboot phone, pc several times

i have verified the usb port is working by ysing another usb device

when i plug moment into usb port i dont get the "recognized new device" on my pc, but i do hear the ding dong sound when pluggin it in.

i also dont get the usb icon in the notification panel on my phone

this is my 2nd moment its only a week old, i had the same problems with the last one also. the tech gave me a new phone because it wouldnt connect (one of the reasons)

about 6 months ago i did get i to connect once to my desktop

i have also tried other solutions on other forums

any help would be much appreciated

TY

EDIT

When i got to device manager on my windows 7 laptop, it doesnt show any samsung devices or "other devices"

i have also went to control panel and uninstalled the usb drivers that comes with the download of the new update "samsung drivers" hoping that when i restarted, my pc would recognize a new deviceand i could start over

id say the phone never installed properly the first time and now windows is just ignoring it.....your attempt at uninstalling the drivers should have fixed that but i guess not....not really sure what else to tell you since there is extensive discussion on this subject throughout the forums and the web....

sorry good luck....
