Does everyone else's lights (home, menu, back) flash as a reminder that you have a message like the old instinct after the update?  Mine does and I just noticed it.  I was wondering who else has this.  If this is old news or no news forgive me. I've been known to be a little late at times.lol

What update? Firmware, Profile,  or PRL?  I pick Firmware and the yellow circle just spins and spins and then I get an "No Service" error message.  Embarrassed

If the light does flash, that is good news, and there have been 2 threads in 2 days talking about the missing light notification on the Moment.

I hope you're right about that.... what kind of update are you talking about? I'm not aware of an update but that would be awesome if it's true

I never got an update on the moment, I was referring to the original instinct that the lights started working after they updated the software.  That's why Im confused. I dont know how my moment started doin it.

I'd have to see it in action.  It just started doing it on it's own?

Yep, I got back to my desk and it was flashin about once a minute. I turned it on and I had text and a voicemail. Maybe it was a fluke but I will really look for it now.  I mean it really doesnt make me a difference if it does it or not. I kind of like the super descrete thing.

Just had my girlfriend text me and I ignored it.  No flashing at all  Smiley  BTW, I'm new to the Moment and I absolutely love it!!!

It usually is plugged into my desk cpu. That was the first time I noticed it and have been everything in power to re-create it without any luck of course, but I watched it flash for about 4 or 5 min then picked it up to check. I wanted to make sure it was flashing for the notifications.

Okay this is weird.  I got two text that I hear the audible alert and did not look at for a minute.  When I looked at my Moment (not charging)  all three (home/menu/back) lights were flashing.  I picked it up and unlocked screen.  Thought for a minute about it.  Forwarded a text to myself to double check.  Didn't work this time.  Tried it again this time sending two text.  It did it again.  It is a slow flash at first about a minutem twice then about 10 seconds twice the 15 seconds twice then back to a minute.  Very strange  I have not updated the phone

I tried it again and it worked.  It didn't do it till I missed two text messages.  Missed calls did not do it.  I dont have any MMS/SMS apps installed.  I use the basic messaging app that came with phone.  I dont know if this helps. I have rings extended installed, ahome lite and I got the Droid ringtone set for the notification tone.

Went home and looked at wifes Moment.  Sent her 2 texts.  Her "buttons" lit up also.  She just has the ahome lite installed (not sure if matters). Sent a text to mine from hers.  It now does it after 1 missed text.

Sitting here at my desk with my Moment in front of me, I just sent myself 2 text messages.  Heard the notification, lights lit up (like they always do when you INITIALLY get a text), but they never light up again after that.

The one thing that I have done recently is install the new Facebook app.  My wife's phone has it also.  In the settings for the app there are some to flash the Led lights when your facebook updates.  It was set to off by default.  It is the only thing that I can think that might be the source of this.

This is what I have noticed

Phone was charging and lights did not blink.  They came on when the text came in and did not go out.

It seems to just be a glitch not a true functioning feature, but it does show that Samsung can have this feature added like they did to the Instinct.
