Hi folks,
Wanted to see if any of you guys had similar problems as I do. I have used Pandora, Last.FM and Slacker. All of them sound good in the mid and high range....my concern is with the bass. Sounds like there is some distortion that does slightly affect the quality. I hook my phone up via a stereo to rca plug. I have this set up in my home stereo and in my car. I can hear this slight distortion in both places. I want to know if this is a quality of the phone or if it is to be expected with this technology....meaning, do other phones sound the same?
As a music lover....this is very important to me. Love the Moment to death, however if this is in fact a limitation of the phone, then I might be forced to switch while still in my 30 day trial.
Appreciate your feedback everyone!

you would return your phone because it doesn't play mp3's as well as a dedicated mp3 player would? isn't that why we have mp3 players?

If you love music that much, you should look into getting Grooveshark

Personally I can't even get Pandora or slacker to stream properly. I just quit using both as I got tired of constant pauses. What I do know is that my previous phone blackberry tour "speakers" sounded way better than the moment. But the pros of the Samsung Moment far outweighs this minor shortcoming. Can't comment on the output to home stereo.

I'd be shocked if the BBerry Tour had anywhere near the problems as the Droids.
The BBerry is a stable system if you need it for business. Contact synching and also the music capabilities are outstanding. Browser...not so much.
Like the man said "isn't that we have MP3 players for." You've got to like gadget to buy one of these things. It really doesn't do anything well.
Get a free phone and a big-minute call plan or pre-paid. Have either a small notebook computer or use a truly high qaulity product like the iPod Touch so you can search the Net, send and open emails, and get wonderfully sounding music.
All, I releat, ALL, for much less than locking on to a 2-year must pay contract for something that you are the guinea pigs for.

The iPod Touch is a complete ripoff. For the amount of space you get for the price, it's a joke. Seriously for the 8gb model you're paying $25 per GB. For the 64gb model you're paying $6.25 per GB. Is Apple paying you for this? Search the net, send and open emails and get wonderfully sounding music
.... maybe when you're connected to a Wifi hotspot. Other than that you have nothing more than a ridiculously expensive media player than can barely hold any media. Not to mention how locked up and crippled it is and lacking flash support.

Ive noticed the same problem with the bass distortion. Irritating!
Best quality ive found is using tunewiki. It plays shoutcast stations and LAST.FM. Sounds really good! Most times I never hear the distortion!

Agreed on the Pandora streaming problem. I bought the phone for the first primary fact that it could stream music into the phone. My plan was to plug it into the front of my truck stereo. Sounds monoaural. Paid the bucks for Pandora 1 upgrade for high-dig streaming. Most all songs cut-out before the song is done.
Sure, the ibox streams my loaded-tunes WAY better in quality. The Pandora is a different stream of music. BTW-Pandora streams and works perfectly on my home notebook with broadband card.
I am optimistic this will get tricked & fixed. Just giving my initial feedback experiences.

Try updating to the CL14 system. Since i upgraded i haven't had any issues with pandora.
If that doesn't work, try slacker

Your guide was the first link I found on this forum. Good work. Respect-but I don't get the Panda Home thing. What is it's use or importance?
