You linked to a thread that has your answer, so it makes this thread redundant and completely pointless.  2.2 hasn't been ported to the Moment, yet...everything else you need to know is there for the taking.  Jesus christ, even yourm0m1 basically answered your question in this thread, so now we're just going in circles.  Read man, get off your rectum and read.  If you're not willing to do that, you're missing out on all the benefits of what that ROM does to our phones and you're shorting yourself...so what is your next step?

jit can be installed on any version of android, it is being built in on 2.2 but still can be turned off....im guessing not all the phone manufacturers will even have jit but who knows until official 2.2 roms are released....

there were issues in the past with jit causing horrible amounts of reboots with our phones on 1.5 but now with 2.1 it has almost become non-existent....i guess your original question was just does jit increase speed of android 2.2, YES it does but its NOT just specific to 2.2

here is a decent read http://android-developers.blogspot.com/2010/05/dalvik-jit.html

now continue your own search by means of google or sdx
