Topic: Is it me or does this phone take forever & day to turn on?  (Read 168 times)

I needed to call 911 & my phone was off because the battery died with no audio notification so I was unaware it was off. I bought a portable cell phone charger for this phone when I was waiting for phone to be operational, which took forever... Angry

yes it does tend to take a while to get all the way to full boot some times. This is just the nature of a full featured phone. If you use one of the custom kernels they seem to boot up a little quicker.

With the Latest Joey kernel 1.9.2 it'll boot in under a minute... way fast for a smartphone.

Just be glad you don't have a Pre or a BB Pearl... they each take around 5 minutes.

The phone does take time to start up but It also could have been that you were in a hurry to dial 911 and it seemed like it took for ever. Everything seem to take for ever when there is an emergency. seconds seem like minutes.
