End button (RED) wont work

okay I just update my Moment to the CL14 and the hanging button the red one wont turn off the screen anymore instead it does what the back button does. I already pull out the battery and still doesnt work. Should I do a hard reset?? My phone is not rooted because I dont know how to do it and dont want to mess it up more hehe i dont have pandahome or any other app like that. The only apps that i have download so far are advance task killer, momentflash and PdaNet.

I hope you guys understand my problem if not let know so i can explain it better.

well i did a hard resest but that didnt work either so i took my babe to the sprint repair center and they didnt even take it to the back room. The guy just told me that he couldnt fix it so he just gave me a new one out of the box. So yeah now i have a new Moment, I check it b4 i left the store and it seem to work pretty good if not better than the other one.

Thanks for your answer but that didnt work either but i try on the new one just 2 c if it worked and it did.

Hey I had this exact same problem and I didnt have any aftermarket apps installed whne it started happening.  I think it was just an OS bug or something.  I restored back to factory defaults and it started working again. 

I've had this happen twice to me so far.  Can't figure out how.  Backed up all my apps and reset my phone to get it working again.
