I just tethered my moment with pdanet and was

1.wondering would it throw up a red flag with Sprint if I used my phone as a modem a couple of hours everyday for web browsing?

2.is the unlimited data really unlimited or is there a 5gb cap like the 3g usb devices?

I'm only asking because I dont want my account canceled, I really like my moment.

Thanks for any answers.

Hello fellow Moment user, Welcome to the Samsung  Moment Forum!!!

I've been using my phone as a modem like yourself with pdaNet since December and I havent had any problems with Sprint at all.

There is no limit on usage of the web. So it really is Unlimited.

I really hope this answer was helpful for you. If you have any more questions feel free to ask them but before doing that you can click on search so you dont ask some question that has been resolved in the past, because there is a rule that this forum has that we cant double post.

Sorry Global Moderators I always wanted to say that. Hope I didnt get in trouble.

on the plan they say. its unlimited, but it as wel lsays if you use it more then the required time, they have the rightto cancel you.

that is your ticket out of the contract.

only way out ofa contract, is to have a death certificate, and even that tehy'll stil force you to keep the plan, to each theirown, never trust them, if you cannot get a clear answer. go to the highest level.

Yu are entitled to use your phone, in increments, , but if you are leaving it hung on 24/7 then that is another story. 2 hrs a clip is fine, but many hours a day constant is not. said that is another story?

like fish said just dont go nuts....technically on the unlimited minute plans they have term and conditions that state if you use a few thousand minutes they have the right to suspend your service, so the same probably goes for data usage

I just wanted to say that i just got my bill for last month and i had used over 3.5 gbs worth of data. soooo... that said. My phone is still on, and they didn't seem to cancel me. But i agree with everyone else right tho. don't go too crazy.
