so the moment flash app.....yeah i was messing around one night and decided to use my phone as a strobe light and the next morning my flash was dead.....I caused this on myself and i understand that but i am just making a plea help me please....the flash for the camera is dead on my phone.....i just got my phone back this afternoon after being gone for over 3 weeks to be fixed, it arrived today unFIXED!!....now i am reaching out to the community to find a fix for me

imho it doesnt even look like the flash was replaced but i dont imagine i will be able to find a source to even think of replacing the hardware myself, so i am hoping someone can come up with some software ideas?!

the phone has been hard reset numerous times, updated to stock cl14, had multiple zefie rom's, it was gone @ service with best buy's geek squad (yes dummy me, $10 a month vs. $150 deductible i said sure....another story) during that time parts were supposedly ordered and the phone was repaired.....well guess what it, it wasnt

i am probably asking for a miracle and thanks for reading this in the first place but please help get this fixed!!!!

... thats no good. It's almost certainly not software... although i don't see how an LED could die from that little use... hmm.... I'll keep my eyes open for a possible fix. How electronics savvy are you?

I was about to say that hok....its weird that the flash would just die.....since it is led....which just doesnt go out...but rather diminishes over time....well what im thinking that it could maybe be some kind of overheating? Prolonged use?since that flash was meant to be used as a flash and not exactly as a light....it could be that it was damaged from prolonged use....so maybe a software fix would not help u..... Sad sorry man but u may have to get a new one :s or fix it urself! :s

Hopefully somebody will come up with something......

Should just be $100, but you might be able to convince them that it's software/not your fault and get it replaced for free.. I know on my BB pearl when the mini-usb port stopped working (they're notorious for being poorly soldered) I got a free replacement... all depends on how nice the person you talk to is.
