looking for help

ok guys i cant figure out my problem this is what i did so far

1. put sphm900_mr4_dj07  in the binary folder than flash

2. after it restarted i added the zip file to the sd card

3. i booted to the recovery screen? where i got the following message:  E: failed to open/sdcard/update. zip (no such file or directory) E: signature verification failed installation aborted

 the android system recovery is  <2e>

someone told me to add the following apps z4 root, rom manager, superuser

i am clueless on how the apps work, so i am looking for some help
